Sugar is more harmful than you think

Sugar ruins your health physiologically, psychologically and emotionally





It looks white crystal shaped, sometimes comes in powder form, no I'm not talking about narcotics, it's sugar that every culture has showed down your throat.


Sugar is potentially everywhere, in our fruits, food grains, raw milk. To top it all off, we now have sugar overloaded products that are extensively harmful for our health.

But why is sugar harmful for our health?

The obvious one that pops up in mind is, diabetes but that's just the tip of the iceberg. Sugar goes way beyond just that.

Excessive sugar consumption can make us feel dehydrated, weight gain problems, blood sugar, heart disease among many other. 

Sugar is extensively addicted substance, you might get off Cigarette easily but not sugar.

From the beginning of the day till we goo to sleep, we are surrounded by Sugar everywhere.

Our morning begins with a hot beverage, be it "Tea" or "Coffee"

If you are working in corporate jungle then you will probably have more of those beverages. Then there's this obnoxious culture of having desserts after lunch and diner. 

Those desserts are probably going to be Choco Brownie, Chocolate ice-cream and what-nots.


Doesn't that look delicious?? who wouldn't wanna dig in? 


Sugar is capable of rewiring your brain





The way sugar achieves this feet is by tricking you to violate the effort-reward relationship


What's effort-reward relationship you may ask?

To put it simply, effort-reward relationship states that you will be rewarded with pleasure and sense of satisfaction after you have put genuine efforts to earn that satisfaction.

But now with sugar inside the equation, the relationship hardly holds true, because now to feel pleasured or satisfied you do not need to put efforts at all, all you need to do is consumer sugar in form of chocolate, beverages, dessert or maybe just a huge chunk of Nutella.

bam!!

No need to put efforts




Doesn't that feel like a life full of lies?

Its all going to fall apart and you know it.

You couldn't crush your new year resolution with this absurd shortcut.

The Americans have realized how detrimental sugar is, hence they are cutting back on Sugar and withdrawing themselves from it.

To encourage people to withdraw from sugar, they are campaigning with unconventional ways. For example there are artists creating Doppelganger Brand Image to discourage corporations like M'C Donalds and Starbucks from spoiling people with their sugar loaded products.

As a matter of fact, there is a conspiracy going wild that America is actually exporting obesity to other countries.

Strategies to by-pass Sugar 

  1. Cut back on Sugar gradually, slowly and steadily
  2. Consume natural alternative instead of added sugar products. You can replace added sugar consumables with fruits.
  3. Replace Tea with green tea, replace coffee with black coffee. That's a healthy alternative.
  4. Talk it out when you are having blues. Often times we indulge in addiction because there is something bugging us in our mind and we feel incapable of handling our emotions so we instead turn to our addictions as they help take our mind off, but that doesn't work, you know it.
  5. Take a deep breath as you get those hideous cravings, speculate the quality of air as you inhale and exhale. Bring our attention towards how good it feels taking a deep breath.
  6. Get busy doing something.
